Reviews and Ratings
This hotel truly captures the essence of DC charm with its awesome amenities and comfortable rooms featuring 2 queen-sized beds, though the view of the air conditioning unit might not be ideal. The service, while warm and genuine, had a few hiccups along the way. The location is convenient, but being in a smaller area within the bathroom might not suit everyone's tastes. The dining experience, though not included, offered classic fried fish. The facilities were adequate for a pleasant stay.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are not very spacious and have a definite touch of DC charm, but they are equipped with 2 AC's, which is a plus. The service provided by the staff varies from warm and genuine interactions to late reservations and public discipline issues. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many major DC attractions, although locating the separate area within the bathroom was confusing. Dining was not included, but the rumor of homemade rolls is enticing.
I loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms exuded a definite touch of DC charm, and despite having a view of the hotel's air conditioning unit, they were equipped with awesome amenities and even had 2 AC units. The service was a bit of a mixed bag - while the chambermaids were warm and genuine, there was a hiccup when they promised to make a reservation for Saturday night dinner, called 2 hours late, and then made the reservation 5 minutes before. I did notice that disciplining a waiter in front of customers was cringe-worthy. The location was superb, putting me in a separate smaller area within the bathroom but also being close to the White House and extremely convenient to access all major attractions. The dining experience was not included but the gourmet pizzas were a treat. The facilities were top-notch overall.
The hotel had a separate, smaller area within the bathroom. It was within walking distance of many top tourist attractions and featured warm and genuine service. The hot pot dishes were included in the dining experience. However, there was no Wi-Fi included in the price, and some disciplinary actions were taken in front of customers.
